Zap Colony Demo
About this game
Route-planning meets tower-defense! A minimalist, real-time strategy sim where colour-matched power-lines feed ever-hungry turrets. Route the power. Zap the Starclops. Protect the colony.
Zap Colony⚡ challenges you to design and optimize a colony defense network on a distant planet. The game takes place on a grid-based map, with colony buildings and alien hives spawning outside of your control. Your job is to defend the colony from different colored Starclops by strategically placing turrets, upgrading and connecting them to a power source of matching color. Sounds easy? Success is measured by how long you can withstand before the colony is overrun.
PLAYING ZAP COLONY
A typical Zap Colony map lasts 20–40 minutes. The game unfolds in weeks: each week you choose one of two resource packs, letting you keep building and adapting your defense network as enemy numbers grow and the map expands.
You’ll manage five resources - Towers (zap Starclops), Power Stations (built on craters to draw colored power), Cables (link Towers to Power Stations), Splitters (divide a cable’s power), and Scaffolding (lets cables cross other cables or span mountains).
