Among its most sacred traditions is the worship of Xi Mu (喜母), a clan goddess passed down from the age of tribal settlements. Although most modern residents have long forgotten her, some locals continue to uphold this faith through hidden rituals and regional celebrations, such as the Qiqiao Festival (乞巧大会), which symbolizes sacred craftsmanship and human connection.In recent years, a sect known as the Troupe Elysium (极乐戏团) has grown increasingly active in Yuntai. They also worship Xi Mu, but interpret her divine will in a far more extreme and twisted way. No longer satisfied with simple devotion, they seek to turn divine power into something tangible and controllable through blood sacrifice.
