👻 What Is The Ghost

A dark mix of suspense, strategy, and horror in a 2D top-down style. You are a recruit of the mysterious Hunter Corporation, a company that hunts ghosts. Each mission takes you to abandoned houses and other eerie locations. Only by combining your wits and surviving will you be successful. Compete with other hunters or play together with your friends in multiplayer.

As a new hunter, you are poorly equipped and inexperienced. Yet your assignments lead you straight into the heart of darkness: places full of paranormal anomalies, cursed artifacts, and deadly ghosts.

🎮 Gameplay Features

• Multiplayer & Singleplayer

  Missions can be played alone or with your friends. But keep in mind, the ghost will never be easy on you, no matter if you are alone or with friends

• Unpredictable Ghost AI
  Every ghost has its own traits and preferred behaviors. Some launch merciless hunts, while others frighten you or manipulate their surroundings. Each ghost favors cursing specific artifacts - a crucial clue for identification.

• Multiple Ways to Identify the Ghost
  To correctly identify the spirit, you must combine several factors:

  • Which artifacts were cursed?

  • How many artifacts are affected?

  • How strong is the curse?

  • What behavior does the ghost display?

• Risk-Reward System & Difficulty Levels
  Play on Easy, Normal, Hard, or Nightmare. The higher the difficulty, the more aggressive the ghost and the greater the rewards.

• Artifact & Anomaly System
  Break anomalies open to collect artifacts. Normal (blue) anomalies contain valuable clues – but bloody (red) anomalies are created with the ghost’s old blood. Opening them risks triggering an immediate hunt.

• Hide and Survive
  If you are being hunted by the ghost, you must act quickly. Break line of sight or hide in closets, but be careful, it might check your last known location.

• Progression & Equipment
  Collect experience points, level up, and earn money. Improve your abilities in the skill tree. Purchase runes and flashlights, these will help you master missions and survive higher difficulty levels.

• Customize your Character

  Choose between a lot of skins and colors to customize your character.

• Prestige System

  Reset your level, receive a huge reward and get way stronger.

• Skilltree (Mastery Hub)

  Use these to improve your skills as a ghost hunter. For this, use Void Essence, which is gained through in-game actions.

• Ghost Wiki
  All known ghost types are documented. Study their behavior, curse patterns, and unique traits to identify the entity haunting you.
