Wardrum is a turn-based rhythm roguelite where you plan and execute your tactics in time with the primal pounding of a tribal wardrum for maximum impact. The Wardrum Demo allows you play through the first biome and get hands on with some of the Warband characters including Wardrummer, Barbarian, Warrior, Bowman and Rhythm Caster.

Off-beat magic has infected the lands, neighbouring settlements have fallen and it’s up to you and a band of five warriors to keep the beat, venture out into a harsh fantasy world filled with rhythm magic and stop the source of this off-beat threat once and for all.

You’ll need grit, a strategic mind and a feel for tribal rhythms to succeed. Your warriors possess a range of abilities each with their own beat patterns to master. Plan your advance on a tactical grid carefully, find your groove and empower the warband's attacks with rhythm magic. Dominate the battlefields by unleashing devastating strikes, setting traps and pushing/pulling foes into arrow range.

The enemy is powerful and death is certain, but the weakening Rhythm Mother's final blessing allows your warband to repeat the beat and try again, until the corruption across the land is truly vanquished. Each painful loss makes you stronger as you enhance your tactics, power up your warriors and become one with the rhythm. On your run you’ll face new encounters, enemies and battlefields randomised with hazards, traps, ambushes, weather and other environmental challenges. Remember, keep in time to the beat and maybe there’s a chance you’ll survive…

Play your way by choosing the ultimate warband from units such as the Warrior, Bowman, Wardrummer and more. Build your characters by picking new abilities per level up, and equip trinkets found in the wild to create broken builds. Forge custom rhythm abilities that can turn the tide of battle, and challenge the false gods to save the lands!

• Execute your attacks & abilities in time with the tribal beat to maximise the impact and unleash critical strikes. Be warned, keeping to the beat may be harder than it seems: debuffs such as bleeding, blinding and deafening will play havoc with rhythms!

• Make use of the battlefield by comboing attacks and hazards: push enemies off cliffs, activate deadly traps, and pull foes into kill zones set by your Archer.

• Every run brings different challenges. Sample the first Biome, face death, learn from your mistakes, upgrade your warband and venture forth again.
