The BMPT-72 “Terminator-2” (Object 183) is a Russian tank support combat vehicle developed as a conversion of the T-72A/B chassis to extend the service life of aging tanks. It was introduced in 2013. The BMPT-72 features a high level of armor protection comparable to that of a main battle tank, thanks to it using the T-72 chassis and additional defensive measures.

The “Terminator-2” is armed with four 9M120 anti-tank guided missile launchers and two 30 mm 2A42 automatic cannons with a total of 850 rounds. It also carries a 7.62 mm PKT machine gun.

To improve survivability, the vehicle is equipped with a laser warning receiver and a smoke screen system. Both the gunner and the commander have access to a laser rangefinder and a thermal imaging sight, enabling effective combat performance under any conditions.
