The new LUCIDITY mechanic will prevent players from seeing basic information about their characters—such as applied statuses, statistics, health, or resonance—simulating the cognitive dissonance of their miniature as it faces the incomprehensible void.
Active Skills
Temporal Amnesia: Applies the Temporal Amnesia status to a unit within 8 spaces or fewer for 1 round. An affected unit cannot use skills during its first action of the turn. (Cost: 1 action, Cooldown: 4 rounds)
Whisper of the Void: Whispers forbidden truths of the void to the target, inflicting 1d8+2 damage to their Morale. (Cost: 1 action, Cooldown: 1 round)
Planar Walker: The unit moves through the planes, appearing in any empty space up to 6 spaces away. Can be used up to 2 times per round. (Cost: 0 actions)
Sensory Corruption: Distorsions the senses of a target up to 6 spaces away. The target must pass a Perception check or suffer a 15-point reduction to Strength, Dexterity, Accuracy, and Evasion until the end of their next turn. (Cost: 1 action)
Ethereal Form: Partially phases out of physical reality, becoming immune to the next instance of damage received. (Cost: 1 action, Duration: 2 rounds, Cooldown: 6 rounds)
Materialize Resistance: Grants a temporary shield (1d8+2) to itself for 2 turns. (Cost: 1 action)
Mental Fatigue: Mentally disrupts a target up to 4 spaces away, inflicting 1d4 entropic damage + half of the Lucidity stacks possessed by the victim (ignores armor). Requires passing an Intelligence check. (Cost: 1 action, Cooldown: 2 rounds)
Gravity Well: Alters the fabric of space, creating a field of massive attraction in an 8x8 space area for 2 rounds. At the start of their turn, any token within the area is dragged 4 spaces toward the center. Can only be cast during combat. (Cost: 1 action, Cooldown: 3 rounds)
Gravity Pulse: Emits a localized gravitational shockwave, pushing all nearby units within a 2-space radius up to 4 spaces away. Can only be cast during combat. (Cost: 2 actions, Cooldown: 5 rounds)
Zero-Gravity Field: Alters a 3x3 space area at range, completely nullifying gravity for 2 rounds. Any unit within the area enters the Levitation status, reducing their Movement to 0 and Evasion to 0. Can only be cast during combat. (Cost: 2 actions, Cooldown: 8 rounds)
Share Agony: Chooses a target unit to apply the Shared Agony status to for 3 rounds. (Cost: 1 action, 5 Resonance)
Passive Skills
Incongruous Presence: Every time a unit that does not belong to The Black Company starts its turn within 4 spaces or fewer of this unit, its Lucidity increases by 5.
Reactive Body: When the unit is attacked by a unit within 2 spaces or fewer, the attacker takes 1d4 normal damage.
Ill Omen: When any unit on the board fails a Morale check, it takes 1d8 entropic damage.
Lucidity Boost: Increases the accumulation of Lucidity on enemies.
Void Tracker: If the target has Lucidity stacks, attacks completely ignore their evasion.
Aura of Fear: Every time a unit that does not belong to The Black Company starts its turn within 4 spaces or fewer of this unit, it loses 1d6 Morale.
Feast of Agony: Every time this unit inflicts damage, it heals for half of the damage dealt (rounded down).
Summoning Avatar: This token is a concentration of cosmic energy that summons the Avatar of Nyss'gath. The counter decreases every time its turn begins. When it reaches 0, the Avatar manifests at this location.
