Most equipment slots will change the appearance of your character to allow for greater visual personalization. In addition, equipment can have empty rune slots (more as you upgrade). This Origin will decide the starting weapon, skill, and stats of your character for the run. After completing two stages in the run you will select an Ascension for the remainder of the run. This Ascension will increase and specialize your stats. Additionally, a powerful Ascension Aura will be created around your character.
