The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria™

Middle-earth is a setting of incredible richness and narrative depth. In a world where trees can talk and mountains can move, every stone might have a story. In the Digital Art Exhibition, we explore how the Free Range Team created the world that players explore in Return to Moria.

Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings has inspired the Free Range Games artists. We all share vivid memories of poring over hand-drawn maps of Middle-earth, and marveling at the original illustrations in the first editions. So we always knew we wanted to bring this world to life through visuals in our game.
