Survivesmith is a reverse-bullet hell / bullet heaven game where you craft and forge your way to your final goal- the life essence. With multiple crafting/forging/fusion/skill systems, you create your own survival strategies to survive the hordes (and the biomes).

Biomes

Within a run, you will find many biomes. All these biomes have their own unique theme, look and feel to them so you'll know when you find one. But it's not all looks. Every biome features multiple unique enemies, flora, and resources for you to find.

Biome Hazards

Every biome has some kind of hazard to throw at you. Make sure you are ready for these random weather changes, unless... you find a way to turn the tides in your favor. All the biomes pose you their own hazard at you, making their traversal difficult and dangerous. Craft, repair and use the Hazard Protection (Haz-Pro) items from the Forge in the base and make exploration a breeze.

Resource Gathering

In each biome, there are many resources to find, all unique to each biome. Some are obtained from the ground, some by harvesting mineral nodes, scrap piles or trees, and some by defeating different biome creatures. Collect all you can, because no amount is too much!

Weapon Mods & Haz-Pro Items

Once in a while, a Forge Pod will drop nearby, letting you craft Weapon Mods.

There are 4 different weapon mod categories: Propulsion, Impact, Proto and Phase. Experiment with what each mod does and find the best combo that suits you.

Use the resources you find during your runs in the Super Forge Pod to unlock new mods and expand your modding options.

Survival Kit

Defeating the evil robot minions will grant you with Scrap Metal. But they also have a chance to drop some Fabrium. Use this resource to craft quick-use items from your Survival Kit to escape tight situations or give you an advantage in battle.

Preset Loadouts

In Survivesmith, you don't have to submit to the randomness of the upgrades you get. While there are many random elements to experience in the game, your loadout isn't one of them. Make sure you know what you're doing, and equip well before a round!

Power Cores

Fuse various core components dropped by enemies to create unique power cores with combined effects. One weapon, hundreds of combinations. Try them all!

Tactical Skills

Every survivor has multiple tactical skills, ultimate abilities and their primary weapons are all equipped with overcharge abilities. Use the ones that fit your playstyle and survive the oncoming robot hordes.

Level-Up Systems

Your character levels up in-run by collecting experience orbs. Choose from Strength, Vitality, Agility and several sub-categories in them to maximize your character's survivability. Perform well in-run to permanently level up your characters, weapons and armor modules to have a better chance at getting to that 'Life Essence'.

Helper Buddies

Bring a buddy with you to aid you with tedious tasks like finding / collecting resources, to heal you or simply have extra fire-support! Level them up alongside you and maximize their effectiveness.

What to expect in the demo

While the full game will feature multiple levels with hundreds of crafting recipes, multiple characters, the complete operability of your base and its machines, and more, the demo is meant to showcase how the game works and if it's right for you.

In the demo, you'll get:

• Two playable characters with a few weapon and loadout options.

• A single run structure that lets you run through 6 different biomes.

• Many resources to collect and mods to craft.

• 3 different progressive mini-boss fights.

• Limited access to functionality of the base.

• A little bit of meta-progression in terms of weapon upgrades, power cores and weapon mods.

Note that the demo is tuned to be less grindy than the intended game to let you explore different equipment options and max out everything as quickly as possible, while still not giving away everything for free. The final game will have you unlock most of the things you have unlocked from the beginning in the demo.
