Seagull Lighthouse Demo

About this game

You work in a lighthouse by the sea of a small town.

Here, seagulls are the messengers. They occasionally bring glass bottles washed up from afar, carrying the untold feelings of strangers: perhaps the delirious whispers of a child in a hospital ward, a weary sigh from someone who just lost their job, a love story that faded into nothingness, or perhaps a bewildered question about the meaning of one's own existence.

They cast their secrets into the sea, and now, you have found them.

You can choose to pick up a pen, responding to those distant joys and sorrows with your own warmth; or you can choose to remain silent, selling these stories to the town's journalist in exchange for a few coins.

Here, time loses its measure. There are no countdowns urging you forward, no mandatory checklists, and no leaderboards to gauge your worth. Your only companions are the ever-changing sea outside the window and the occasional seagull resting on the windowsill.

When no letters arrive, you are more than welcome to "waste" your time on beautiful things: watching the ebb and flow of the tides, the creeping morning mist, or the setting sun painting the ocean surface with liquid gold. You can flip through old newspapers in the study, leave a few doodles in a notebook, or simply sit in silence, listening to the waves crashing against the reef.

This is a game about "slowing down." It invites you to find your own lighthouse in this noisy world, to learn how to wait, how to listen, and how to embrace those invisible souls through words.

This demo serves as a prelude to this tranquil journey. It lights up a corner of the lighthouse for you in advance, prepares a few newly arrived letters, and offers you a moment of undisturbed time to watch the sea.

Why not pause here for a while? Feel the weight of the pen gliding across the paper, and listen to the voice of the ocean.

Just as this game is waiting for someone who truly understands it to play; this demo is waiting for you to push open its door.

Seagull Lighthouse Demo

In a lighthouse, you read letters, write back, and wait. Only a sea, a flock of seagulls that deliver bottles, and bottles that drift in from nowhere, carrying the lives of strangers inside. Your replies may shape their stories. In an age of anxiety and speed, let yourself slow down.
