RogueBlocks is a comic-styled, run-based roguelite block puzzle game where every placement matters. Drop falling block shapes onto an 18×15 grid, complete rows, trigger score windows, and build your way through a full 30-round run.

But this is not just about clearing rows.

Every row belongs to one of 7 Meta-Tiers, from Rookie to Cosmic. Higher tiers can unlock bigger scoring opportunities, but only if you build smart, upgrade the right tiers, and survive long enough to cash in.

Plan Around Visible Power Cells

Power Cells appear directly on the board and can dramatically change your scoring decisions. Some boost your score. Some punish bad placements. Since they are always visible, every round becomes a tactical puzzle:

• Do you chase a risky high-value row?

• Do you avoid a negative cell?

• Do you delay a clear to create a bigger combo?

• Do you build toward a stronger Meta-Tier?

Chain Rows Inside the Blink Window

When a row is completed, it does not clear instantly. It begins a short blink window.

Complete more rows during that same window to combine them into one larger scoring event. The more rows you chain together, the bigger the move score becomes.

Upgrade Your Run with Cards

After clearing rounds, visit the store and shape your build with two major card types:

• Catalyst Cards upgrade Meta-Tiers and increase their scoring potential.

• Sidekick Cards create conditional effects that can boost scores, change shape behavior, alter power-cell interactions, or even modify game rules.

Build around Rookie rushes, Titan scoring, Cosmic jackpots, clean rows, shape-color synergies, or power-cell combos. Each run gives you a different path to chase.

Every Third Round Breaks the Rules

Chaos Rounds appear every third round and disrupt the normal flow of the game.

Some chaos rounds may disable certain scoring zones. Others may reduce your blink window, limit rotations, remove power-cell effects, or force you to clear multiple rows at once.

You cannot rely on one strategy forever. Adapt fast, or your run ends.

A Full Run Means 30 Rounds of Pressure

Each round has a target score and timer. Reach the target before time runs out to continue. Fail one round, and the run resets back to Round 1.
