Re-Thing
About this game
Re-Thing is a psychological top-down RPG. This is a personal commercial project based on real-life experiences and struggles.
You play as a young pony schoolgirl living in a city divided by race, class, and conflict. Poverty, discrimination, political apathy - all of this is part of everyday life. But the protagonist can't just accept it. She sees the problems. She wants to fix them. She feels like she understands more than those around her.
Features:
Deep psychological story - a narrative that challenges perception of reality and questions where the line between truth and illusion lies
Explore a dark world - travel through districts of the city, from poor neighborhoods to wealthy towers, from school to forbidden zones
Meaningful dialogues - every NPC has their own perspective on the world's problems, there are no "correct" answers
Pixel art graphics in classic RPG style with an atmosphere of gradual descent into uncertainty
Dark themes - the game addresses depression, social inequality, domestic violence, loss, and psychological disorders
Re-Thing is a story about how trying to change the world can turn into losing yourself. About the line between striving for justice and obsession. About accepting that some things cannot be fixed alone.
A game for those who value complex emotional experiences, ambiguous moral choices, and stories that make you think about reality.
Content Warning: the game contains heavy psychological themes and may cause discomfort. Recommended for mature audiences.
