In this demo for tactical kung fu roguelike Forestrike, you can try your hand at two of the full game’s five martial arts schools and get an early taste of the game’s unique Foresight ability. Practice a battle as many times as you like in your mind—but if you're defeated in the actual fight, your run ends.



Old Master Talgun, who rejects violence and believes the will to harm is a negative force, will teach you the advanced techniques of the Leaf style, a school of martial arts focusing on defence and evasion. Mastering the Leaf style will allow you to deftly evade and manipulate your opponent’s positioning and attacks, disarm or turn their weapons against them, and capitalize on their mistakes.

Then there’s Master Nodai, a hardened military veteran who believes that embracing pain is the only way to deliver true justice. His Cold Eye School is built around the principles of endurance and retaliation, with practitioners sacrificing their own health to absorb damage and anchor themselves in place – before striking back with calculated, unrelenting force.



These two very different martial arts schools are yours to experiment with in this new Forestrike demo. You'll encounter rival masters in special "Masters' Trial" events. Win these trials, and you'll earn exclusive hybrid techniques that blend elements from both martial arts schools.
