Fine Work: Act I is the first in a Slice-of-Life Romantic Mystery series, featuring cute clients, scheming gods, sentient cities, wild concerts, and weaving dreams.
You’re just getting settled in the city of Gleamhold, and your workshop opens tomorrow. Sure, it's nice here, this cozy corner of a big, weird universe. But your new clients hail from distant dreams, bringing their own strange dramas to your doorstep. One and all, they seek sendshape: artifacts woven from the stuff of memory. And you don’t intend to disappoint.
Fine Work has mushroom mail, memory swapping, celeb dog-blobbers, undercity fight clubs, and a conch-shaped obelisk that eavesdrops on citizens…what more could you ask for?
Dazzle Your Patrons
Get to know Gleamhold’s otherworldly residents, and win them over with your artistic prowess (or, you know, just being friendly). You’ll grow close to your clients over late night gossip, underground escapades, drinks at the Hobby Lantern, long walks, and exploring memories while sendshaping.
Weave the Dream
Craft beautiful, bespoke artifacts with relaxing musical gameplay. Explore your clients’ memories in a surreal 3D dreamscape as you perfect your trade. Each client brings their own distinct musical style, be it foley-driven electronica, sword-fight breakcore, or baroque chamber tunes.
Explore a Living City
Gleamhold is a growing city, with lots to discover! By day or night, from public squares to secret underground reaches, each cinemagraphic environment changes with the time of day, season, and happenings within the world.
Spin Your Own Tale
With six starting traits to choose from + branching paths and hidden intrigues, no two playthroughs will be the same. Are you Charming? Discerning? Graceful or Mighty? Your choices now will change the future of Gleamhold and its strange inhabitants.
Dive Into the Lore
Unlock collectable notebook entries as you record the sights, sounds, and otherworldly denizens of Gleamhold. Different secrets and deep cuts are hidden throughout the branching narrative paths.
Demo Content/Features:
In the Fine Work Demo, you'll experience your first 3 days as a shaper in Gleamhold. In these early days, you can:
Open your shop and meet the varied denizens of Gleamhold
Try your hand at the loom in four musical 3D crafting levels
Gather notes about the world and the strange beings therein
Explore some of the city's varied locales
The Fine Work Demo is best played on mouse and keyboard! Controller Support and Steam Deck Support are WIP, and may not function as expected. Assets and features seen in the demo are still in development/subject to change.
