Epic of Gilgamesh
About this game
The Epic of Gilgamesh
The first written epic, carved into clay tablets thousands of years ago. It slept beneath the earth; emerging piece by piece from excavations — half cracked, half missing. Or perhaps the historians never wanted certain things written down.
What the tablets did not say, the bones still remember.
2096: Voice of the Bones
In the near future, a skeleton said to belong to Gilgamesh is unearthed. A new neural interface reads the memories embedded in bone and weaves back the days he once lived. You are the first to enter that simulation — and you will live not what the tablets recorded, but what the bones kept hidden.
Story
A prophecy, a princess locked in a tower, a dark night...
Born as the grandson of Uruk's King Emmerkar, the newborn is left to die. But an eagle catches the child mid-air and lays it beneath the date palms. The gardener and his wife who find the child give a name: Gilgamesh — "the one who sees and knows all."
In Eridu's small garden, raised as the gardener and his wife's own child, Gilgamesh grows in love. For years — a child of a warm home. Until one day truth knocks at the door, and he leaves behind the two faces he loves most, setting out on the road...
From Eridu to Uruk; city by city, temple by temple. Along the road, Gilgamesh learns — the world holds more truths than the tablets ever wrote.
