Drink

About this game

Drink is a short, top-down 2D narrative game about alcohol dependence, routine, and the moment the excuses stop working.

You play as a man who once had something to lose. The village moves on without you. You are not the centre of it.

Over the course of a single day, you move between three spaces in a connected rural Australian town:

The Pub
The Hotel Cocktail Bar
The Cabaret

Each one reflects a different story you tell yourself.

Drinking restores you in the moment.
It steadies your hands.
It makes conversations easier.

But it also makes everything else worse.

There are no branching paths.
There is no redemption arc.
There is only the morning after.

Features

  • A focused, single-sitting experience (30–60 minutes)

  • A reactive top-down pixel art world

  • Three themed “dungeons” exploring habit, rationalisation, and escapism

  • A restrained narrative told through implication and sparse dialogue

  • A fixed ending centred on accountability, not recovery

Content Note

Drink explores themes of alcohol dependence, shame, and emotional avoidance. It is not a recovery simulator. The subject matter may be confronting for some players.

Drink
