About this game
Checkpoint64: your saves, with an undo button.
You know the feeling. A mod crashes your world. The autosave lands right after the boss kills you. Your friend has the only copy of the save... and he's on holiday.
Checkpoint64 quietly backs up your game saves while you play, and keeps every version; not just the latest one. So a corrupted world or a terrible run is never the end. Scroll back through your save's history and bring back any earlier point. It's a time machine for your saves.
Free to start
The app is free and comes with real cloud space. Enough for Stardew Valley, Hollow Knight, Terraria and most retro and emulator saves. Need more room or want to share with a crew? Unlock Full or Pro right on Steam. Both are one-time purchases. No subscriptions, ever.
Keep every version
Most cloud saves keep one copy and write over it. Checkpoint64 keeps them all. Open Versions on any save to see a timeline of every backup, then roll back to the one you want. Corrupted world at 2am? Grab the version from 30 minutes ago.
No more "who has the save?"
Sharing a world with friends? Checkpoint64 makes sure only one person has it open at a time, and shows a feed of who did what. When it's your turn, hit Take over and the save is yours. No more passing files around in Discord.
Works with way more than Steam games
Steam Cloud only covers Steam games the developer set up for it. Checkpoint64 doesn't care where you got the game or how you launch it: Steam, GOG, Epic, an emulator, or a modded launcher all work.
Your saves follow you
Back up on your desktop, restore on your laptop. Your worlds come with you between machines, even for games that never had cloud saves at all.
A few games it already knows
Minecraft (plus modded launchers like CurseForge, Prism, Modrinth and Feed The Beast), Stardew Valley, Valheim, Terraria, Baldur's Gate 3, Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077, Skyrim, RimWorld, Factorio, Palworld, The Sims 4, Civilization VI, Hades, Subnautica... and 40+ more, with new ones added all the time.
Questions
I already have Steam Cloud. Why do I need this?
Good question. Steam Cloud keeps one copy, and only for games that turned it on. Checkpoint64 keeps every version, works with almost any game, and lets you rewind to any point.
I play with friends.
Thats why we made the application. You will never have to wait for your friends to start the server or go to bed early.
Ditch the dedicated server?
Yes! With Checkpoint64 the save is always there for you. Even when your friends arent. Stop wasting money on a dedicated server which is only used a few hours a day.
Is it a subscription?
No. The app is free. Paid and Pro are one-time unlocks on Steam. Buy once, keep it forever.
My game isn't listed.
Let us know in Discord or in Checkpoint64 and we add them. It gives us an excuse to buy & test more games.
What if my friend uploads something they shouldn't?
We implement state of the art virus scanning on all files, on upload and download. So everyone is always safe.
I want to host a game for my fans.
We have support for influencer teams. Where you can have many people in your community with read only access to your shared saves.
Will it change my game?
No. It only reads your save files to copy them. It never touches how your game runs.

Your game saves, with an undo button. Checkpoint64 backs up your saves as you play and keeps every version, so a corrupted world or a bad run is never the end. Works great with mods, emulators, and games Steam Cloud ignores. Share with friends so you can hold down the fort while the host is away.
