Beyond The Gate
About this game
Beyond The Gate is a medieval extraction survival game where every journey beyond the castle gates is a risk. Explore a dangerous world, gather what you can, and make it back before the gates close at nightfall.
Return Before Nightfall
Each journey is a race against time. Stay out too long, and you may find yourself locked outside the safety of the castle walls.
Fight to Survive
Face bandits, wild animals, and deadly threats in tense melee and ranged combat. Not every encounter should be taken head-on.
Hunt. Gather. Endure.
Search the wilds for resources, hunt for food, and scavenge what you need to survive each run beyond the gate.
Explore a World Inspired by Welsh Folklore
Venture through a dark medieval landscape shaped by Welsh folklore, with ruins, forests, graveyards, and forgotten places hiding danger and discovery.
Prepare for the Next Journey
Use the resources you bring back to craft better weapons and armour, cook meals, recover, and prepare for the dangers beyond the gate.
A Solo-Developed Experience
Built by a solo developer, Beyond The Gate is a personal project focused on atmosphere, tension, exploration, and survival.
